MISSION
Since 1984, the Interracial Family Circle has
provided opportunities for the education, support, and socialization of
multiracial individuals, families, people involved in interracial relationships,
and trans-racial adoptive families in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
The Interracial Family Circle (IFC) was conceived out of a mother and father's
desire to have their daughter gain affirmation and approval of "The Interracial
Family in America" by socializing and communicating with other interracial
families.
Membership in IFC is open to all persons who have paid annual membership dues
as established by the Board of Directors (unless waived by the Board) and who
are ideologically supportive of interracial/intercultural relationships and families.
Membership shall be continual as long as a member meets both dues and descriptive
requirements set out above.
